He also speaks frequently at professional events for organizations including DARE, a group devoted to providing service to children in specialized foster care, the Asperger’s Association of New England, and dozens of school systems throughout Massachusetts. Since 2003, Dr. Shrand has lectured and presided at the biannual Learning and The Brain Conference held in Massachusetts and California, a fast-growing association that attracts thousands of educators, scientists, and other professionals who come to share state-of-the-art brain research and applications.
